What
is your vision of the future of the Visual arts for San Diego?
"For me, enhancing visual arts in San Diego is about building a
supportive, appreciative community for artists and their work. This
would include more dialogue, more curators, more exhibition spaces,
including non-traditional, guerrilla-style exhibition spaces, more thoughtful
writing about the arts, more partnerships between institutions, universities
and presenters, and more connection to community. Our city of villages
and large county make it difficult to connect the region's talented
artists to broad audiences. We need more hubs, both geographical and
virtual, to build audiences and community."
